We are launching the media project “Because of Them: The History of Ukrainians”
The multimedia project aims to raise awareness of Ukrainian history and the creation of Ukrainian statehood among Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians and make Ukrainian history visible in the media.
The project explains how Ukrainian political history was created and how the Ukrainian political nation was formed – from the early ХІХ century to the modern era of independence. Restoring historical memory is extremely important for Ukrainian society, as it is part of the path to victory in the current war.
Five modules tell about a specific period of Ukrainian history through an educational series, podcasts, interviews with experts, and visualisation cards.
The project was funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany as part of the Citizen+ programme with Ukrainian partners NEED science & education and Coopera e.V.
